Patrick Talbot

Professor Talbot is currently Director of Training at LawyerIndo. He also serves as Vice President of Advocates International (a global lawyers network committed to advancing the rule of law and similar values.)

Prof. Talbot is a well-rounded lawyer, with almost 20 years of legal practice and experience. His various practice areas include Maritime and Aviation Law (with an emphasis on Shipping), International Commercial Litigation, Commercial and Contract Litigation, Insurance Defense and Insurance Coverage Disputes, Human Rights (especially refugees, immigration and anti-trafficking cases), and Non-Profit Law. He is admitted to practice under the Florida Bar, in the USA (since 1993), and in various U.S. Federal Courts.

Since 2005, Talbot has also taught in several international law schools and faculties, including full-time in Korea, and Indonesia. He is also a visiting lecturer in Cambodia and Romania. Schools he had served in as a Professor of Law, or as a full-time lecturer, include Handong International Law School in South Korea (almost 8 years), Trinity International Law School in California (visiting semester), and Pelita Harapan University in Indonesia (5 years).

His subjects include International and Indonesian Commercial Law, International Commercial Litigation and Arbitration, International Trade Law, International Treaty Law, Maritime Law, International Human Rights, International Organizations, International Humanitarian Law, Sociology of Law, Christian Jurisprudence, Agency and Business Associations, Legal Research and Writing, Appellate Advocacy, Legal Skills, and a newer field of Law and Economic Development. Talbot writes and speaks on matters including International Shipping, Corporate Social Responsibility, Constitutional and Human Rights, and Law and Development.

He is involved in activities such as coaching moot court teams, and serving as a moot court judge, especially in International Commercial Arbitration. As Vice President of AI, Talbot is part of a global network of internationally-minded lawyers committed to serving a common good.

 

Mardianto

Mardianto has more than 10 years experience in the field of information technology. Prior to joining Lawyerindo, Mardianto worked as Managing Partner in a business and technology solution provider company.

During the course of his career, Mardianto has worked on numerous projects for major companies, assisting them to develop a wide arrange of IT systems, including developing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems on different platforms.

Customer relationship management (CRM) is an approach to manage a company's interaction with current and potential customers. It uses data analysis about customers' history with a company to improve business relationships with customers, specifically focusing on customer retention and ultimately driving sales growth. While, Enterprise resource planning (ERP) is the integrated management of core business processes, often in real-time and mediated by software and technology.
 

Denny Susanto

Deny Susanto has more than 10 years of experience standing as legal counsel and practitioner.

Denny has previously acted as Counsel for the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (Lembaga Penjamin Simpanan - (“LPS”) on all of the corporation’s legal matters.

He was also involved with the Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission (Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi) - “KPK” as Special Counsel on Prosecution and Asset Tracing. His role was to provide legal advice for director of prosecution, prosecutors, and investigators of the KPK on legal matters related to the public law aspect and Tracing Recovery.

Deny has worked for prominent Indonesian companies including a major oil and gas company, and sharia insurance company.

Deny obtained his Bachelor of Law Degree from Universitas Indonesia, majoring in Private and Economic Laws. He also hold a Masters Degree in Business Law from Universitas Gajah Mada.

In addition to his professional experiences, Deny also involved in the academic sector by serving as a lecturer in several business schools in Indonesia.

Denny speaks Bahasa Indonesia and English.
