The Budidjaja Institute was established with the purpose of nurturing Indonesia’s next generation of lawyers for the competitive future, through the delivery of quality training programs to young and passionate graduating law students, as well as fresh law graduates who wish to pursue a career in the legal industry.

The Budidjaja Institute will hold a Legal Practice Course (the “Course”) on 7 – 8 February 2019. The Course offers comprehensive legal practice foundation training on fundamental lawyering skills, as well as impartation of practical legal and business knowledge in the following areas, including:
​Lawyers Ethics and Orientation to the Practice of Law

  • Contract Drafting
  • Introduction to Legal Due Diligence
  • Fundamental Lawyering Skills
  • How to Get Hired by a Leading Law Firm

We expect the applicants to possess impressive academic achievements, as well as fluency in oral and written English. The selected best Course participants will be considered for an opportunity to participate in 2-3 months apprenticeship program at Budidjaja International Lawyers and its affiliates, where a limited number of participants will be given an offer to work and pursue a career opportunities at the end of the apprenticeship program.

Year End Talkshow:
The Making of Indonesia’s Future Leader

Lawyerindo will be supporting a year-end talkshow on “The Making of Indonesia’s Future Leader” that will be held on December 19, 2018 at the new Trust Building in Kwitang, South Jakarta.

Attending as speakers in the event are former Constitution Judge Dr. Maruarar Siahaan, S.H., M.H., among others.

The event is expected to allow the speakers to remind us the importance of developing values of leadership, and serve as an occasion to share inspirational leadership stories.

Lawyerindo Welcomes Prof. Patrick M. Talbot as New Member

Dear valued Clients and Colleagues,

Greetings from Lawyerindo.

In line with our commitment to provide excellent services, we would like to proudly announce the arrival of our newest member Prof. Patrick M. Talbot. Professor Talbot is currently Director of Training at Lawyerindo.

Since 2005, Talbot has taught in several international law schools and faculties, including full-time in Korea, and Indonesia. He is also a visiting lecturer in Cambodia and Romania. Schools he had served in as a Professor of Law, or as a full-time lecturer, include Handong International Law School in South Korea (almost 8 years), Trinity International Law School in California (visiting semester), and Pelita Harapan University in Indonesia (5 years).

He is involved in activities such as coaching moot court teams, and serving as a moot court judge, especially in International Commercial Arbitration. As Vice President of Advocates International, Talbot is part of a global network of internationally-minded lawyers committed to serving a common good.

We are confident that Prof Talbot’s expertise and skills in training for legal professionals will enable Lawyerindo to render more high valued education to the future of legal professions in Indonesia.

  Legal Apprentice Program
10 September - 9 November 2018

Budidjaja Institute will commence its 11th Legal Apprenticeship Program (LAP) from 10 September until 9 November 2018. The LAP is intended to be the most comprehensive apprenticeship training program designed for fresh law graduates interested in pursuing a career as professional lawyer.

During the LAP, the apprentices will be introduced to valuable knowledge related to the legal profession. Apprentices will also trained with practical skills through exposure to simulated legal problems and tasks commonly carried out by lawyers in real-life situations such as: drafting legal documents, writing legal letters, carrying out steps in commercial transactions and dispute resolution proceedings.

Apprentices are obliged to participate in the entire program, and must fulfill certain qualifications to be able to graduate from the program. Also, apprentices with outstanding performance will be invited to work as legal professionals in Budidjaja Institute’s affiliate firm, Budidjaja International Lawyers.
